The certificate of the Italian Language (CELI) is a title that accredits the degree of linguist competence and control of Italian given by the University for Foreigners of Perugia, the most prestigious institution in the field of teaching Italian as a foreign language
The CELI certificate is officially recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education and also internationally recognized by private companies, chambers of commerce and private and public educational institutions.
The CELI certificate is a valid accreditation of knowledge of the Italian language for academic and professional purpose in Spain and the World for which the correspond level of knowledge is required.
The Italian Ministry of Education recognizes the CELI 3 as a valid certificate to enter any Italian university, according to the places reserved by the university for foreign students. The CELI 4 and CELI 5 certificates enable students to enter any Italian university just as any Italian student.

The validity of the CELI certificate is indefinite. It is not necessary to repeat the exam in order to reconfirm the competence acquired in Italian.
